IT Security Expert (m / f / n)

Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain cutting‑edge security measures across network, application and monitoring assets, aligning with current state‑of‑the‑art practices.
- Analyse and interpret regular security scans and exploit indicators, providing actionable insights to address potential vulnerabilities promptly.
- Gain an in‑depth understanding of existing security parameters within our IT landscape, identifying gaps and suggesting improvements to strengthen overall security posture.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps engineers to facilitate the implementation of security guidelines and best practices, offering guidance on necessary action items to ensure security compliance.
- Support project managers in evaluating new providers and projects from a security perspective, conducting risk assessments and making recommendations to ensure that security requirements are met.
- Conduct thorough analysis of log data to identify patterns indicative of security breaches, promptly escalating and responding to any potential threats or incidents.
- Provide invaluable support in the formulation and deployment of comprehensive security policies and frameworks, aligning with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the quality in delivery through tests and cut‑over to production support.
Qualifications
- Hold a university degree in IT or an equivalent professional qualification in Cybersecurity or Information Security.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- In‑depth understanding of current cybersecurity trends, technologies and best practices.
- Committed to staying updated on the latest security technologies.
- Familiar with DevOps procedures and technologies.
- Proven experience analysing security scans, identifying potential exploits and recommending appropriate remediation strategies.
- Strong expertise interpreting log data to identify security breach patterns and anomalies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams, particularly with DevOps engineers and other IT professionals.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English, French and German.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+ or similar, highly desirable.
