Job Description

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is looking for an experienced attorney to join our highly talented US IP Litigation team in the role of IP Litigation Manager. The position will report directly to the Director responsible for managing IP litigation at HPE. The US IP Litigation team is part of the worldwide Litigation team and directly handles, strategically manages, and reports on the company\'s litigation and certain legal-related investigations across the US. Our mission is to provide the best legal advice and support on litigation matters.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and drive IP litigation cases from complaint to conclusion, collaborating with internal and outside counsel, technology experts, business analysts, and business clients.
  • Demonstrate an ability to thrive in a large, global environment while coordinating the efforts of internal paralegals and outside counsel.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to explain complex legal matters to business leaders in a manner that is readily understandable to ensure well-informed business decisions.
Education and Experience Required
  • J.D. and Undergraduate degrees (engineering or other technical field preferred but not required).
  • Current bar membership in the US (Patent Bar preferred but not required).
  • 8+ years of highly successful IP litigation experience (District Court, PTAB, and/or ITC) focused on high tech products (networking experience preferred but not required).
  • Understanding of or experience with international IP litigation, particularly in Germany and China.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, strong analytical skills, and the ability to grasp important business risks and legal issues facing the company.
