High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) is a key enabler for a carbon-neutral energy system. It is highly efficient for transmitting large amounts of electricity over long distances, integrating renewables and interconnecting grids, opening new sustainable transmission solutions. By joining the HVDC team in Germany (DEHVDC), you will be contributing to the energy transition in Germany and around the world.
You will be part of a team of installation experts, together responsible for the installation and testing of electrical and mechanical equipment procured and delivered by Hitachi Energy. To perform the works under your responsibility, you and the rest of the installation team will manage subcontractors performing the works.
You as an Installation Supervisor will be part of a team of installation experts, reporting to an Installation Manager, and together be responsible for the installation and testing of equipment. You will support the Installation Manager and other Installation Supervisors to plan, coordinate and manage Hitachi Energy responsibilities in the project to ensure project targets and milestones related to safety, quality, schedule and budget are met.
This role is site based, with travel included. The first project assignment would be based in Germany in Bergrheinfeld, Bavaria as part of the Suedlink DC4 project, for approximately 24 months. After this project is completed, we have future projects in Germany and also global opportunities. Therefore, any candidate applying for this role would need to be willing to travel.
