The Information Security Officer (Director level) will lead and evolve LiveEO’s end-to-end information security strategy as the company scales across critical infrastructure sectors in Europe and beyond. This role owns the development, implementation, and certification of LiveEO’s security and compliance posture—ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all systems and data.

You will drive both high-level security architecture and day-to-day operational governance, ensuring compliance with frameworks such as BSI IT-Grundschutz, SOC 2, and ISO 27001. In addition, you will oversee the Workplace IT function, ensuring our internal systems, devices, and services operate securely, efficiently, and in accordance with international standards.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, regulated, and technically complex environments.

Your challenge

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• CTO (primary reporting line) and COO for organization-wide security and compliance alignment
• Engineering & Infrastructure for secure architecture, monitoring, and incident response
• Enterprise customers, partners, and auditors for due diligence, certifications, and security reviews
• Workplace IT team and external vendors for tooling, device management, and operational support environments

Key Responsibilities of Your Role

• Lead and continuously improve LiveEO’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) in alignment with German and international standards.
• Drive implementation, audit readiness, and successful certification for BSI IT-Grundschutz, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and related frameworks.
• Define, implement, and enforce internal security policies, risk management processes, and access control models.
• Lead the Workplace IT function, setting strategic direction for internal tooling, device management, access logic, and vendor ecosystem.
• Manage relationships with external IT and security providers, ensuring adherence to security and performance SLAs.
• Oversee audit readiness, documentation, and interactions with certification bodies and enterprise customers.

Foster a company-wide culture of security through training, awareness initiatives, and process ownership.

Assess new technologies, tools, and vendors for security posture, compliance risks, and operational impact.

Monitor evolving legal, regulatory, and industry-specific requirements and adapt policies accordingly.

Your profile

Must Have

• German nationality (required for specific customer and compliance engagements)
• 7+ years of experience in information security, IT governance, or risk & compliance roles
• Demonstrated experience leading or preparing for BSI IT-Grundschutz certification
• Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST 800-53
• Experience with vendor management, SLAs, and contract review
• Strong background in cloud-native security (especially AWS)
• Excellent cross-functional and stakeholder communication
• Fluency in German and English

Nice to Have

• Experience in regulated sectors (space, energy, mobility, telecom, etc.)
• Experience leading a Workplace IT or internal IT operations team
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, secure CI/CD pipelines, or software supply chain security
• Experience with Teleport, Auth0, or comparable IAM tooling
