The continuously growing Service & Security Management Team operates standardized management systems in the context of customers from the enterprise and public sectors, and ensures their continuous improvement, among other things, through GRC standards, certifications, and testing. Within the IONOS corporate group with international subsidiaries, the team creates company-wide standards, for example, in risk, document, and process management.

Tasks

In this strategic leadership role, you will:

• Provide direction and mentorship to a team responsible for security governance and service management.
• Take ownership of company-wide security certifications and act as the key advisor on compliance and audit-related topics across the IONOS Group.
• Drive the development and execution of security risk management strategies for both IONOS and other units within the United Internet group.
• Oversee and continuously improve essential management system functions, including document control, process development, and incident response.
• Prepare and deliver detailed reports on compliance status, maturity levels, and ongoing initiatives, tailoring insights to different audiences, from executives to operational teams.
• Build strong cross-departmental partnerships, working closely with Legal, Compliance, and other corporate functions to ensure consistent application of security and regulatory policies.

Qualifications

• A university degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field, and several years of relevant professional experience in IT security, service management, or similar areas.
• Practical experience working within certified environments and an in-depth understanding of key standards such as ISO 27001 and ISO 50001, ideally including involvement in achieving or expanding certification scopes.
• Proven ability to lead teams or manage complex projects, ideally with some previous experience in personnel leadership.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, guide, and align departments toward implementing security processes and frameworks within an international organization.
• Confident in breaking down complex security and compliance topics into clear, concise explanations adapted to different levels of technical understanding.
• A pragmatic approach to balancing regulatory requirements with efficient, cost-effective solutions.
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written; proficiency in German would be an advantage.
