Are you interested in high-quality, natural, and tasty nutrition?
We are! It’s our ambition to shape the future of nutrition.
Döhler is a leading global producer of natural ingredients and solutions for the food, beverage, lifestyle and nutrition industries. We use innovative technology to process plant-based raw materials and enrich products such as lifestyle drinks, cereals, dairy, and confectionery goods for almost every well-known brand. Close to 10,000 dedicated employees in more than 70 countries share one common goal - to ensure that millions of people around the world enjoy the products created by us.
We strive to inspire and empower our employees in everything we do, and we invite you to join our team – together WE BRING IDEAS TO LIFE.
As the Head of Scale-Up Management, you hold the strategic mandate to transform R&D concepts into industrial reality. You will define the global process model that governs how new products enter our production network. You will orchestrate a global network of specialists to ensure that every new recipe transitions seamlessly from the lab to the plant – efficiently, safely, and right the first time.
Your Tasks
- Global Process Governance & Standardization: You will define and enforce the "Steering Model" for Scale-Up Management worldwide. You act as the decisive authority on process blueprints, ensuring a unified standard of execution across all production sites and preventing operational fragmentation.
- Operationalizing Innovation (R&D to Production): You serve as the critical strategic link between Development and Operations. Your role is to translate complex R&D intent into robust industrial processes, ensuring that "Quality by Design" is integrated into the recipe structure before it reaches the shop floor.
- Driving First-Time Quality & Efficiency: You are accountable for the "First Production" success of high-complexity portfolios. Your primary objective is to increase yield and achieve "First Time Right" targets of any new product introduction.
- Strategic Matrix Leadership: You will provide functional leadership to a global network of Scale-Up Specialists in all of our production plants. You will empower these teams to execute locally while maintaining strict alignment with global standards, navigating a complex matrix to drive performance.
- Digital Integration & Data Integrity: You will drive the alignment between physical assets and their digital twins. By collaborating with Recipe Management and IT, you ensure that technical attributes in our systems (SAP PP-PI, MES) are physically enforceable, turning data into a reliable production tool.
- Technology Commercialization (TtP): For new processing technologies, you act as the industrial gatekeeper. From consulting on the technology transfer to owning parameter validation after commissioning, you ensure new assets are fully capable of delivering ROI immediately upon handover.
Your Profile
- Executive Technical Background: A degree in Food Technology, Process Engineering or similar combined with 8-10 years of experience in Process Technology or Production Management. You possess deep operational expertise and understand the physical realities of a factory floor.
- Proven Leadership in Matrix Organizations: At least 5 years of management experience with a track record of leading across functional lines. You know how to influence stakeholders (from Plant Managers to R&D Heads) without always holding direct disciplinary authority.
- Systemic & Analytical Mindset: You are proficient in bridging the gap between IT systems (SAP PP-PI/RD) and physical production. You use data to drive continuous improvement and have the analytical rigor to lead root-cause analysis for scale-up challenges.
- Decisive Governance: You are comfortable setting standards and enforcing them. You view deviations not just as local issues, but as challenges to global consistency that must be managed.
- Culture: Friendly and informal atmosphere, family-owned company, flat hierarchies, short communication channels, and helpful colleagues.
- Impact: You are an integral part of our business success and make an important contribution to the future of nutrition.
- Empowerment: You can fully unleash your potential and have the opportunity to take on responsibilities.
- Digitalization: We maintain excellent partnerships with market-leading innovators, allowing you to access and work with state-of-the‑art technologies.
- Anniversary and special payments.
- Additional benefits: Christmas parties, events, financial benefits, and online shop discounts (e.g., IT leasing, mobile phone contracts, shopping, and travel discounts, etc.).
