Tasks

• You will take overall responsibility for both operational and strategic purchasing and procurement.
• Together with your team you will drive the development and implementation of our purchasing and international sourcing strategy including all related processes.
• You will prepare review negotiate and finalize contracts with international suppliers.
• You will analyze global procurement markets and independently design innovative sourcing and purchasing strategies.
• As a forward-thinking strategist you will continuously review and optimize our purchasing organization and processes to ensure ongoing improvement and efficiency.
• In close collaboration with your team and our quality management department you will ensure supplier qualification selection and long-term development.
• You will proactively manage risks to prevent supply bottlenecks and secure delivery capability.
• As an inspiring and cooperative leader you will guide motivate and develop your team to achieve outstanding results.

Requirements

For this exciting and responsible position we are looking for an experienced internationally minded leader with a technical and commercial background (e.g. international contract law) and several years of experience in both strategic and operational purchasing within the mechanical and plant engineering industry. You lead motivate and develop your team possess strong communication negotiation and organizational skills and have proven experience in project management and contract law. With your structured and solution-oriented mindset you contribute ideas to further develop Global Sourcing (e.g. LEAD Buyer Concept) and leverage your international supplier network ideally in China India and Southeast Asia. Your profile is complemented by fluent business-level German and English skills (Spanish is an advantage) and professional experience within an international corporate group in the upper mid-sized industrial segment (approx.employees).
