We’re seeking a dynamic Head of Beauty (m/f/d) for our evolving beauty division at our Hamburg headquarters. In this pivotal role, you’ll leverage your strategic thinking, market analysis, and persuasive power to drive category growth and enhance our market positioning. Ideally you will have a strong background in B2B management, deep industry knowledge, and a passion for beauty trends.

Your Mission
  • Develop and execute trading growth strategy to scale Beauty department revenue.
  • Monitor and analyze international market trends and developments in relevant beauty subcategories (fragrances, skin care, hair care, and body care).
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives and focus areas (e.g., target markets, target brands, focus categories, pricing strategies) to position the team and ensure market leadership.
  • Drive market expansion across Europe, North America, and Asia‑Pacific.
  • Lead and develop a cross‑functional, hybrid team of 10 professionals across Buying, Sales, and Business Development, spanning multiple seniority levels.
  • Build new and strengthen existing strategic relationships with (premium) beauty suppliers, clients, distributors, and brands.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and develop pricing strategies for maximum profitability.
  • Ensure operational excellence and coordination with Logistics, Warehouse, Finance, and Tech departments.
  • Design and optimize SOPs to drive operational excellence and elevate stakeholder experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes and KPIs.
  • Reporting to Management.
Your Profile
  • Strategic Growth and Market Expansion: Expertise in developing and executing growth strategies, with a focus on expanding markets across Europe, North America, and Asia‑Pacific.
  • Market and Trend Analysis: Strong ability to monitor and analyze global beauty trends and developments in key subcategories (e.g., fragrances, skincare, hair care).
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership: Proven experience leading and developing high‑performing, cross‑functional teams across Buying, Sales, and Business Development.
  • Relationship Management: Skilled in building and maintaining strategic relationships with suppliers, clients, distributors, and brands to drive business success.
  • Operational Excellence: Proficient in optimizing operational processes, coordinating across departments (Logistics, Finance, Tech), and ensuring smooth execution.
  • Negotiation and Pricing Strategy: Strong negotiation skills with the ability to develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability.
  • Budget and KPI Management: Expertise in managing department budgets and driving continuous improvement through performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
