Guideline Data Analyst

Join us. Let’s care for tomorrow.

At Allianz Global Investors we foster a culture of professionalism, fulfilment, and an inclusive working environment. Do you want to be part of a leading active asset management company? Then join us now!

The Investment Guideline Management (IGM) Team at Allianz Global Investors ensures that all portfolios comply with regulatory, contractual, and client-specific investment guidelines. A key function within the team is Guideline Surveillance, which handles both pre-trade and post-trade monitoring using Bloomberg AIM and SCD, and manages breach documentation and workflows via RSA Archer.

As AllianzGI transitions to a data mesh operating model, centered around the “One Data Platform” built on Databricks, IGM is recruiting Guideline Data Analysts. These analysts will ensure that monitoring platforms receive accurate data from the One Data Platform and will work closely with data product teams in the Investment Data Area.

The role involves supporting investment compliance and data services, while also contributing to the transformation program by helping design and implement new technology-driven solutions. It offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of investment data, compliance, and process innovation within a global asset management environment.

The position is part of a collaborative team that works closely with portfolio compliance, investment teams, and international offices. Success in the role requires strong capital markets knowledge, regulatory expertise, and technical skills to maintain accurate compliance monitoring, high data quality, and ongoing process improvements.

This role is based in our Frankfurt or Munich office.

What you will do

  • Ensure the continuous and timely data provisioning to SimCorp Dimension (SCD) to perform ex-post investment compliance checks against regulatory, contractual, prospectus, and internal guidelines
  • Streamline and automate compliance processes with SCD’s rule engine and data management tools, ensuring full auditability
  • Collaborate with AllianzGI internal Data Products and IDS to source essential data and datasets for SCD, enabling effective investment guideline monitoring
  • Support the transition of data provisioning for guideline monitoring from our partner IDS’s current infrastructure to AllianzGI’s new Databricks-based data platform, which will serve as the central source for all data consumption needs
  • Provide detailed daily data on funds, assets, benchmarks and much more to meet internal business needs and ensure external requirements from clients and the regulator
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of compliance data to support decision-making and risk management.
What you bring
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field
  • Background in financial services or capital markets, ideally asset management
  • Good knowledge related to specific Regulatory topics relevant for Asset Managers
  • Basic understanding of regulatory authorities as well as legal and contractual frameworks
  • Solid understanding of asset classes (e.g., bonds, equities, listed derivatives, OTC, FX) and classification impacts
  • Understanding of data requirements such as position details and transaction logic
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Hands-on experience with SimCorp Dimension in the context of ex-post guideline monitoring
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to translate regulatory requirements into data-driven controls
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or comparable professional experience.
Preferred (optional)
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions like Databricks, Oracle and familiarity with Azure cloud platform and PowerBI
  • Familiarity with collaboration and service support tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).
What we offer
  • Flexible working from home and abroad according to internal guidelines (hybrid model / flexible working hours / cross-border remote work)
  • Access to pension / savings plans / Allianz products
  • Family support (relocation / childcare facilities)
  • Company share purchasing plan
  • Mental health and wellbeing programs
