A global technology company in Weinheim is seeking a Machine Safety Specialist to advise on machine safety and enhance safety protocols. This role involves supporting production areas, conducting safety audits, and providing training on safety standards. A degree in engineering or related fields is required, along with excellent English skills. The position offers an international travel opportunity up to 30%.
You advise and support production and functional areas on all aspects of machine safety – from safe operation to planning, construction, and safety concepts
Through safety analyses, audits, and training, you help sites continuously improve the safe use of machinery
You further develop internal HSE standards and implement them with a focus on machine safety, risk assessment, analyzing accidents and incidents and the handling of hazardous energies
You support newly acquired sites in integrating into the established HSE management system and in general occupational safety matters
You drive continuous improvement in machine safety technologies and actively share your knowledge across the organization
You independently design and deliver training programs on machine safety, risk assessment, and hazardous energies
You contribute to the procurement and approval processes for machines and equipment
You hold a degree in engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering – or have completed vocational training as a mechatronics or electronics technician
Ideally, you have an additional qualification as an occupational safety specialist (FASI)
You have in-depth knowledge of standards and processes in textile and paper technologies and understand their practical application
You are confident working with the Machinery Directive and ISO 12100
You are familiar with occupational safety requirements for machinery and equipment
As a machine safety expert, you are willing to travel internationally up to 30%
Your English skills are excellent, both written and spoken
You present content with confidence and deliver training with enthusiasm and expertise
