Overview

Senior Full-Stack Product Engineer - AI / Machine Learning

Digital Health | AI-Driven Munich (Hybrid) - 2-3 days home office. We’re partnered with a well-funded digital health start-up on a mission to transform care for chronically ill patients by combining on-site medical excellence with modern software, data and AI. This is a hands-on product engineering role where you’ll build real solutions used daily in clinical practice, not slideware, not “innovation theatre”.

What you’ll do

• Build and own end-to-end product features across frontend, backend, APIs and integrations
• Work closely with Product, Medical and Practice teams to translate real-world needs into scalable software
• Develop and integrate AI-powered features (e.g. LLMs, RAG architectures, decision support tools)
• Own the full feature lifecycle: discovery → architecture → delivery → monitoring → iteration
• Ensure reliability, security and data privacy in a regulated healthcare environment
• Make pragmatic technical decisions with a strong focus on impact over over-engineering

What you’ll have

• 3+ years professional software engineering experience (5+ years for senior level)
• Strong experience with several of: React / React Native, TypeScript, Python, Django, Kubernetes
• Hands-on exposure to AI / ML use cases (LLMs, RAG, data-driven products)
• German C1 and English B2 (collaboration with clinical teams is key)
• A product mindset, start-up mentality and strong sense of ownership

Nice to have

• Experience with privacy, security or healthcare data
• Previous work in regulated or mission-critical environments
