Founded in Berlin by Jacqueline Mikuta and Klemens Weiss, MIKUTA began in 2017 with a jewelry line and expanded into women's ready-to-wear in 2019. Today, MIKUTA is an independent fashion brand known for effortless design, premium feel, and a distinct point of view.

Our Team is spread across Europe, with a Studio Office in Berlin and a production Office in northern Portugal and Flagship Stores in Berlin Mitte and Amsterdam.

About The Job

We’re looking for a Freelance Print & Textile Designer who can create distinctive seasonal prints and color concepts that define our clothing and accessories collections, while ensuring technical precision and seamless collaboration across teams. This role directly shapes the visual identity of MIKUTA’s collections and brings our creative vision to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Research new print techniques and visual tendencies in line with the creative direction.
• Develop seasonal print and color concepts for the clothing and accessories collections, reflecting and evolving the MIKUTA aesthetic.
• Create artworks applying a variety of techniques such as sublimation, digital printing, screen printing and embroidery.
• Prepare production-ready print files and technical packages for suppliers, ensuring precision in repeat, scale, and color references.
• Collaborate closely with the Design, Product Development and Purchasing teams to ensure all prints align with collection direction, target prices, and production timelines. Provide detailed feedback during fitting sessions to improve fit, comfort and overall wearability.

About You

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Strong proficiency in print-related software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and CAD programs.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
• Creativity paired with a solid understanding of print repeat, layout, scale, placement and color.
• A proactive attitude, strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset across departments.
• Ideally, you bring over 5 years of hands‑on experience in print and textile design.
