Overview

FireProtection Systems Expert

Location: Hamburg, Bremen, or Emden, Germany

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Join our dynamic team to work on major energy projects, including our flagship HVDC Substation Maintenance Contract (long-term). As a Fire Protection Systems Expert, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of fire alarm systems, contributing to the success of cutting-edge energy infrastructure projects. Responsibilities
  • Onshore / office-based role
  • Support with all technical aspects relating to fire detection and alarm systems in compliance with DIN 14675-2 standards
  • Act as the Responsible Person for Fire Alarm Systems
  • Provide technical support in relation to inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire detection systems to ensure operational reliability and compliance
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate fire safety systems into major energy projects, including HVDC substations
  • Provide technical leadership in the implementation, and optimization of fire detection and alarm systems
  • Serve as the main focal point for clients, delivering technical knowledge and support throughout project lifecycles
  • Provide clients with detailed technical explanations, demonstrating that systems are working to appropriate standards, including verification that wires, sensors, systems, and protocols are functioning correctly
  • Provide technical expertise and support during project planning, execution, and troubleshooting
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements in fire detection and firefighting systems
  • Participate in training and upskilling programs to enhance technical competencies and career growth
Qualifications and Requirements

We are looking for candidates with one of the following qualifications:

  • Certification as Responsible Person for Fire Alarm Systems according to DIN 14675-2
  • Degree in an electrotechnical field (e.g., Dipl.-Ing., Bachelor, Master, Master Craftsman, or state-certified technician)
  • Journeyman’s certificate or skilled worker’s qualification in electrical engineering with at least 5 years of professional experience in fire alarm technology
Additional Skills and Attributes
  • Strong knowledge of fire detection and alarm systems, ideally with experience in energy or industrial projects
  • Previous experience with Siemens systems would be desirable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project assignments and maintenance tasks
  • Proficiency in German and/or English (both written and spoken) is an advantage
