In this position, you will perform important accounting tasks independently and in coordination with the team. You will report to the Regional Finance Manager.
Qualifications
- Successfully completed a bachelor degree in finance or a commercial training as an accountant
- Very careful, reliable and conscientious approach to work, initiative and ability to manage yourself
- Communication and social skills, ability to work in a team
- Confident use of MS Office and very good Excel skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Must have at least B1 level in German
- Must have a valid work permit for Germany

Responsibilities
- Working in an international environment, in particular working closely with our parent company in the Netherlands.
- As a team of 4 employees, we handle all accounting tasks (accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets and general ledger accounts) for our two German companies in Hamburg.
- Supporting the billing of employees and their costs to our sister companies within the group.
- Collaborating with the Shared Service Centre in Rotterdam, which posts outgoing invoices for us and carries out intercompany payment runs and reconciliations.
- Processing national and international payment transactions.
- Independently preparing quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Acting as the contact person for project controllers' accounting questions
- Preparing VAT returns
