ERP Application Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Partners with business functional leaders and their delegates to identify opportunities to evaluate, prioritize, sequence, and shape the initiatives with the goal to drive efficiencies and create real business value by applying technology in a results-oriented manner.
  • Work independently to resolve issues related to ERP and satellite applications, while understanding when to involve other IT support functions such as data center, infrastructure, networking and 3rd parties’ suppliers.
  • Work collaboratively with end users, other IT teams, and Vendors, to improve the system architecture, support model, operational standards, and practices.
  • Effectively and efficiently project manage key initiatives, ensuring projects are completed in line with business priorities, on-time, and on-budget – this includes but is not limited to creation of scope definition, requirements analysis, functional design, risk analysis, implementation plans, test plans, etc.
  • Function as an advocate for the functions you support by monitoring the status of open incidents, tasks, and related requests; escalate as needed with the respective IT leaders, where needed to expedite outcomes. Identify trends that can/should be addressed to prevent operational interruptions and improve user experience.
  • Effectively and proactively communicate project/effort status in a repeatable and consistent manner to ensure all stakeholders are aware of status, risks, delays (potential or realized) and roadblocks.
  • Engage as a project/program leader including evaluating development efforts and progress against strategic plans and value creation objectives.
  • Manage business relationships through program management, tracking the activities of the customer support process and insuring the availability, responsiveness, and effective of the IT resources.
  • Partner with the functions you support and deeply understand how they do their work, needs, challenges, identify opportunities and recommend/provide/facilitate best-in-class solutions that create value and competitive advantage.
  • Support & Implement SOX compliance, Security Compliance, GDPR and Disaster Recover exercise.
  • Develop and present project and technology proposals, and provide status and progress reporting to leadership.
  • Recognize and identify potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion.
  • Implement and operate daily using continuous process improvement as a way of life. (e.g., Lean, ITIL, Six Sigma methodologies).
  • Manage and closely monitor the performance of IT service providers ensuring that they meet the defined SLAs and KPIs and continuously improve their performance while the cost is kept under control.
  • Potential to assist infrastructure hands on support with help from centralized Enterprise infrastructure team as and when needed.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT and relevance field.
  • Degree in computer science, business informatics or similar and professional experience in the IT environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Applications (ERP, MRP, BI, CRM), IT infrastructure and business process analysis.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is desirable.
  • Good leadership abilities.
  • Good analytical and conceptual skills as well as a goal-oriented way of working.
  • Strategic thinking demonstrated in medium to large organizations.
  • Strong motivation and good communication skills at all levels of the company.
  • Act secure in a matrix-management environment that has been demonstrated in medium to large organization.
  • Experience in the management of IT projects such as the introduction and further development of ERP systems, Infrastructure deployment and business transformation in medium to large organizations.
  • Ability to work in a team, commitment, independent way of working.
