Your Role

AsEngineering Manager SRE & Infrastructure(all genders) you will lead a deeply technical engineering squad of around 6 people. At its core, the team is responsible for the stable operation of the software our customers use,as well as the infrastructure used for internal servicessuch as CI/CD pipelines. Together with your team, you drive operational excellence across the entire department and ensure that fires are put out immediately - or better yet, that they never start in the firstplace. You work in a management team together with other Engineering Managers, as well as the Engineering Director and VP Engineering


How You Make an Impact
  • You coach, mentor and help your direct reports to grow as engineers through 1:1s, performance reviews and regular feedback
  • You work closely with the squad, E2E Product Managers and further stakeholders and orchestrate the process of refining the product and technical roadmap
  • You manage and coordinate internal feature requests and requirements, being capable of assessing technical feasibilities on a high level
  • You steer and monitor the delivery of software in the squad in an agile working environment and enable your squad to deliver software of high value in an efficient and consistent way
  • You evolve the squad by identifying and attracting talents during the recruiting process and shape the individual growth paths of your direct reports
  • You incorporate your technical knowledge over code reviews and sparring on technical concepts
  • You shape engineering practices by contributing your ideas in technical or organizational projects in the department

Your Profile

  • You have a proven skillset to lead and manage a cross-functional group of Software Engineers and are comfortable to apply this for a wide range of engineer skill levels (from Junior to Staff Engineer)
  • You have strong experience operating applications in the cloud on kubernetes and are familiar with all relevant domains, incl. distributed / containerized systems or microservices
  • You work with best practices in Software Engineering and Squad management in an agile, product-oriented environment
  • You are experienced in growing and forming a diverse team by recruiting and subsequent teambuilding
  • You enjoy working in complex environments and tackling challenging technical problems – for example in a hybrid on-prem/on-cloud context
  • You have excellent communication skills and are motivated to coach Engineers on their personal and professional growth path
  • You are familiar with parts of our tech stack and are confident to work with it
  • You are business-fluent in English (Level C1)
