Team Size: 6–10 engineers (backend or full-stack, based in Berlin and Hamburg)

• Lead and develop a high‑performing engineering team , ensuring focus, ownership, and alignment with company goals.

• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Data to define goals,scope ofwork, and ensure impactful outcomes.
• Drive clarity and prioritization , balancing short-term delivery with long‑term technical health.
• Support engineers through coaching, mentorship, and structured development planning .
• Ac hieve deliveryexcellence through code quality, reliability, and process improvementwith a numbers‑driven approach.

What You Bring

Must‑Have Experience

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams (5+ engineers).
• Strong ability to build trust, inspire growth, and create high‑performing team dynamics .
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills — aligning technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• A data‑informed approach to decision‑making, using metrics to drive performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• A coaching mindset : you help others think strategically, learn continuously, and own outcomes.
• Experience balancing delivery and quality in agile product development environments .
• Comfort guiding technical discussions and making informed trade‑offs, even if you’re not coding daily.

Nice‑to‑Haves

• Experience managing teams across different locations.
• Background in B2C or energy‑related platforms , or other fast‑scaling tech environments.
• Familiarity with modern cloud environments and scalablearchitecture .
• Experience leading through organizational or technical transitions .
• German language skills (optional, but useful for local collaboration).
