Qualifikationen

Jobbeschreibung

As our Engineering Manager you will be responsible for developing talent - guiding along career paths, evaluating and promoting people, elaborating best practices, and standardizing ways of working along the software development lifecycle and building a strong engineering culture in our company. Managing growth, keeping the systems scalable, and the quality high demands that you are deeply integrated in the IoT and FinTech areas of our business.

Your mission
  • Be responsible for inspiring and growing the software engineering team.

  • Develop people and teams through coaching, mentoring, and feedback.

  • Work with the recruiting team to attract, onboard and retain talents.

  • Work closely with Value Teams, product owners, architects, agile coaches and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure we deliver world-class software solutions in the area of E-Mobility.

  • Advocate and advance modern software development practices across the teams to increase efficiency.

  • Help develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices.

  • You are not afraid to get your hands dirty and jump into code.

Your profile
  • You are experienced in leading, coaching and mentoring software development teams and delivering stable software of high quality.

  • You care about developing and growing people.

  • You care and know about software engineering practices.

  • You have solid experience working in an agile development environment.

  • You are always up-to-date with the latest technologies, languages, frameworks and development practices.

  • You bring at least 8 years of hands-on experience in developing backend services and 6 years of leadership experience.

  • Excellent skills in Java / Kotlin development with Spring Framework (Spring Boot).

  • Quarkus.io is a plus.

  • Excellent knowledge of Web technologies (REST, XML, JSON etc.).

  • Confident use of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

  • Solid knowledge in Cloud Services Providers like Azure.

  • Knowledge of container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes and serverless functions (Azure Functions).
