Job Description Summary

STEMCELL has an opportunity for a Director, Sales covering our Immunology portfolio of products across Europe. This pivotal role is responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the European Immunology Sales strategy, business plans and goals in alignment with the Global Sales strategic vision and corporate goals. As a key member of the European Leadership Team, you will drive organizational evolution, champion employee engagement, and align our "Scientists Helping Scientists" mission with our growth targets. We are looking for a strategic leader with an extensive background in life sciences who will act as a collaborating member of the Sales Senior Leadership group to provide thought leadership and forward‑thinking strategic planning.

This role can be based in any of our STEMCELL Europe offices and is expected to visit customers across Europe as well as other European offices regularly.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strategic Direction & Business Planning
    • Develop the regional Sales strategy, business plans and goals to ensure attainment of sales targets, establishing plans with a 2-3 years time horizon.
    • Act as the primary European voice for the Immunology portfolio, aligning our global strategy with the European market nuances and customer demands.
    • Contribute as an active member of the Sales Senior Leadership group, providing thought leadership and forward‑thinking strategic planning to enable informed decisions and execution of short and long term growth strategies.
  • Operational leaderships
    • Oversee management and executive reporting including revenue performance, growth resource planning, budget allocation and fiscal goal results.
    • Collaborate with Inside Sales, Sales Operations and Marketing leaders to ensure optimal flow of the demand funnel.
    • Communicate strategic vision and corporate updates, provide directional guidance to their team to exercise independence in accomplishing goals.
  • Organizational Development & People Management
    • Provide leadership to design and implement the long‑term organizational structure and career development frameworks required to scale the European Immunology business over the next 3-5 years.
    • Serve as a strategic change agent, driving key transitions (e.g., technology, structure, operation frameworks).
    • Champion a culture of growth by actively empowering and elevating a high‑performing team through regular one‑on‑one, team meetings, performance reviews and compensation recommendations.

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Requires extensive sales experience of 8-10 years (typically with an advanced degree in life sciences) and 5+ years of leadership experience, including leading managers.
  • Has expert‑level knowledge and skills within own technical area or professional discipline, with a basic understanding of related areas.
  • Understands whole organizational model & capabilities and knowledge of global distribution systems, regulations and industry business fundamentals.
  • Proven track record of change management; ability to lead teams through evolution and drive engagement in a complex environment.

The annual salary for this job ranges from: €137,300.00 - €228,900.00

STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job‑related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package that may include health benefits, retirement savings, and more (depending on region).
