A day in the life at Atotech Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG

As a Development Engineer (m/f/d) in corrosion protection, you will expand our product portfolio by developing and optimizing corrosion-resistant coatings and zinc flake coatings for our international customers. Your technical expertise will enable you to plan and execute tasks independently and systematically.

Your responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing new coating systems and processes
  • Testing, qualifying, and evaluating new products and processes, including practical implementation
  • Identifying optimization potentials in existing products and managing new developments
  • Creating project plans for R&D activities
  • Supporting field tests at customer sites
  • Serving as a technical contact and advisor for specific inquiries
  • Representing the company at trade fairs and conferences
  • Maintaining documentation and reports

What you bring to the table

  • University degree (M.A.) in chemistry, chemical engineering, or surface technology
  • Experience in electroplating or paint system technology, especially in corrosion protection
  • Strong knowledge of inorganic, organic, and technical chemistry, as well as electroplating or paint systems
