Your mission

At bliq.ai, we are redefining mobility with driverless technology. To bring our driverless vehicle systems to life, we’re looking for a Design Engineer who will take ownership of hardware component design from concept to production.

You will design vehicle hardware in CAD, select the right manufacturing methods and materials, and ensure compliance with automotive standards. Your work will balance innovation with practicality, incorporating Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. Beyond design, you will coordinate and manage suppliers to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of components.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop 3D CAD models and detailed drawings for vehicle hardware components.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant automotive standards and regulations.
  • Apply DFA and DFM principles to create efficient, cost-effective, and production-ready designs.
  • Select appropriate manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal, additive manufacturing) and materials for each part.
  • Validate designs and support assembly and integration.
  • Source, select, and manage external suppliers, ensuring quality and cost targets are met.
  • Oversee supplier production runs, quality control, and delivery schedules.
  • Continuously optimize designs for reliability, scalability, and performance.
Your profile

Apply if this describes you:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in CAD design (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360, or similar).
  • Solid knowledge of automotive standards, DFM, and DFA best practices.
  • Experience with materials selection and a range of manufacturing processes.
  • Strong track record of managing and coordinating suppliers.
  • Ability to balance creative engineering solutions with practical manufacturing constraints.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Why us?
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge automotive technology.
  • Flexible working environment with remote options.
  • Dynamic team of engineers passionate about mobility innovation.
  • Competitive salary and equity participation for the right candidate.
  • Work directly with the CTO and founders.
