Regional Controller - Germany / Austria and France (m/f/d)
To strengthen our regional finance organization, we are seeking a Regional Controller (m/f/d) supporting our markets Germany / Austria and France. In this role, based in Düsseldorf Germany, you will act as a trusted finance partner, drive transparency and performance, and support the markets in delivering profitable and sustainable growth reporting to the Finance Managers.
YOUR TASKS
- Planning & Forecasting: Support all planning, forecasting cycles, including annual business planning processes for both markets in close collaboration with finance and business stakeholders. Lead regular reporting for the region in line with the company schedule, including monthly Net and Retail Sales, SOI including Marketing investments, Personnel costs and other key OPEX items, quarterly profitability analyses, cash-flow forecasting, door contribution, and monthly business updates for management and the finance community.
- Financial processes: Ensure adherence to internal financial processes and reporting obligations; support monthly closing processes, monitor purchase order in SAP, initiate coding of invoices and booking vouchers (e.g., accruals) in close collaboration with the Shared Service Centre, and ensure accuracy of SAP FI/CO data for the markets.
- Business Analysis: Support the analysis of market actuals, forecasts, and deviations; provide meaningful commentaries; identify business opportunities and emerging risks in each country and translate insights into actionable recommendations. Support go-to market decision including new store or market openings/closing.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate closely with commercial and marketing teams to enable fact-based, data-driven decisions. Foster the sharing of best practices across the region and drive continuous improvement of tools and processes.
- Deputy Responsibilities: Act as the substitute for the Finance Manager during absences, including door approvals, global requests, and workflows.
YOUR QUALIFICATION
- Degree in business administration specialized in Finance & Controlling.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in a comparable role, ideally in an international environment within the consumer goods or luxury industry.
- Excellent communication skills, strong stakeholder management, and a collaborative mindset.
- Strong analytical skills and solution-oriented working approach.
- High level of reliability and integrity.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and SAP (FI/CO/SD); experience with PowerBI or QlikView is a plus.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills are a must. Knowledge of the French language is preferred, German would be an advantage.
