Zusammenfassung

A leading digital innovation firm in Germany is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer. You will manage Google Cloud environments and maintain Kubernetes clusters, focusing on developer experience and cloud security. The ideal candidate has over 5 years in Cloud engineering, strong skills in Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and automation tools like Terraform. This role offers an annual salary of €55,000 with potential for negotiation based on experience.

Qualifikationen

  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud engineering or DevOps.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform/OpenTofu, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Linux, shell scripting, and APIs/networking fundamentals.
  • Understanding security, monitoring, and Identity & Access management concepts.

That’s Your Daily Business
  • You will take ownership of our Google Cloud Platform environments and ensure smooth integration between internal and partner data centers.
  • You will build and maintain Kubernetes clusters as the foundation of our development and production environments.
  • You will set up and continuously improve the core platform infrastructure, keeping developer experience and scalability in mind.
  • You will ensure a secure and reliable cloud environment, including access management, identity control (e.g. Keycloak), and network protection.
  • You will support development teams in deploying, scaling, and monitoring their applications in the cloud – from setup to incident response.
  • You will enable communication between services across cloud and on-premise systems.
  • You will develop and optimise our Infrastructure as Code setup with Crossplane, Terraform or OpenTofu to automate and standardise deployments.
  • You will contribute to initiatives around monitoring, observability, and secret management (e.g. Google Secret Manager, Cloudflare, ArgoCD).
  • You will collaborate closely with teams across Development, Security, and Architecture to drive our overall cloud and platform strategy forward.
That’s You
  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud engineering or DevOps.
  • Proven hands‑on experience with Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform/OpenTofu, and modern CI/CD pipelines (e.g. ArgoCD, GitLab CI, or CircleCI).
  • Experience with Linux, shell scripting and APIs/networking fundamentals.
  • Understanding security, monitoring, and Identity & Access management concepts.
  • Ideally, a development background – you think like a developer and build with developer experience in mind.
