We're on a mission to make the speciality coffee experience more affordable, digital, and convenient. LAP (Life Among People) is bringing back the human touch paired with the personalisation and convenience that modern consumers have gotten used to with digital business.

We're a small but mighty team serving coffees out of our stores in Berlin, Munich and Hamburg and quickly expanding to the rest of Germany. We're looking for a City Manager in Munich to work directly with our Founding Team.

What you'll do:

As a City Manager at LAP Coffee, you will be instrumental in the success of our brand in Munich, where we aim to become the largest. If you are looking to join at an exciting time and have ownership, impact and visibility, this is the place for you.

You'll be responsible for transforming LAP into the largest coffee retail brand by 2025 and contribute to the opening of our stores in Munich. You’ll oversee store operations, including staffing, sales, P&L, and customer satisfaction. Occasionally, you will go behind the counter and motivate the team to deliver exceptional service while driving business growth and profitability.

• Drive performance: Conduct quarterly business reviews to support teams in achieving excellence and consistency, bringing a bold approach to performance management.
• Team alignment: Plan and facilitate area meetings, fostering innovation and open, collaborative business planning. Create an environment for success supported by a strong succession plan.
• Collaboration: Share company initiatives in an engaging manner.
• Expansion: Drive business growth through successful new store openings.
• Brand and localisation strategy: Manage brand partnerships and local events aligned with Munich's culture.
• Operational Excellence: Collaborate with store operations to enhance customer experience and work with HQ for swift decision-making.
• Product Management: Shape menu and product strategies for Munich.
• Team leadership: Lead and develop your team.
• Analytics and forecasting: Lead sales analytics, forecasting, and order management to support data-driven decisions.

What you bring:

• At least 7 years of strategic experience in areas such as strategy consulting, banking, or fast-scaling companies, including leadership roles.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to explore new locations and meet potential partners.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, solution-oriented, excited to work on a full-cycle startup environment.
• Creative flair with an eye for growth opportunities, capable of testing and iterating quickly within tight deadlines and budgets.
• Fluent in English and German at a professional level.
