Position Description
The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert capable of bridging the gap between vendor technology and clinical operations. They must possess a strong understanding of the product’s functionality and troubleshooting techniques, enabling them to validate system performance and identify issues. This includes evaluating current workflows, recognizing opportunities for optimization, and recommending improvements in either system design or operational processes. The candidate should have firsthand industry experience in PowerChart Maternity and demonstrate deep familiarity with the application of electronic health records in that setting. They must work to resolve issues and change requests. They must be able to confidently lead discussions with diverse stakeholders, assess current-state workflows, and propose enhancements that consider both immediate needs and downstream impacts. Additionally, they should be adept at articulating changes to affected groups, integrating those insights into training content and communication strategies to support long-term success across future rollouts.

Type of Employment: Full-Time salaried and fully benefited position
Work Location/Travel: Expected 50% travel required; applicants must be free from travel restrictions to accommodate evolving needs of the client.
Salary Range: $95,654 – $129,187 base salary, depending on experience and location. Competitive salary/pay, potential for bonuses. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is highly competitive but dependent upon employment type (1099, contract, W2).

Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain women’s health-specific Cerner EHR content including PowerPlans, documentation templates, and MPages
Collaborate with clinical stakeholders to define, assess, and optimize OB/GYN and women's health workflows
Conduct user training for clinical and administrative staff on Cerner women's health modules
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Cerner women's health configurations
Participate in data validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and workflow simulation
Support go-live efforts and post-implementation optimization activities
Ensure compliance with VA care delivery standards, reporting metrics, and governance requirements
Contribute to documentation, curriculum development, and internal knowledge sharing
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Deep understanding of OB/GYN, maternal care, and women’s health clinical processes
Familiarity with federal healthcare systems, particularly VA clinical workflows and standards
Strong communication and training skills for multidisciplinary audiences
Proficiency in identifying and resolving clinical workflow inefficiencies
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
Education/Certification Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Informatics, nursing, or related field
RN, CNM, or other applicable clinical license
Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Public Health, or Nursing
Cerner certification in Ambulatory or Women’s Health modules
Project management or change management certification (PMP, Prosci)
Experience Required:
5+ years working with women’s health or OB/GYN clinical operations, clinical informatics experience, and supporting Cerner EHR implementations
Proven experience implementing and supporting Cerner Millennium EHR within women’s health or OB/GYN departments
Demonstrated success in training clinical end users and improving adoption of digital tools
Hands-on experience in workflow analysis, content configuration, and post-live optimization
Technical Skills Required:
Cerner Millennium: PowerChart, OB/GYN modules, PowerPlans, MPages, Dynamic Documentation, Scheduling
Reporting & Productivity Tools: Power Insight, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, ServiceNow
Project & Configuration Tools: Bedrock, Active Directory (AD), MS Project, Visio
