Evolve is a criminal justice development organisation led by barristers in the UK working pro bono to improve access to justice and build the capacity of criminal advocates (defence and prosecution), judges, and institutions in Uganda through the provision of training and mentoring.

Evolve is looking for six criminal barristers to join the existing capital cases pro bono team to assist with capital cases at the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Uganda. Barristers will be expected to advise on the merits of an appeal against conviction, conduct remote case conferences and assist Ugandan advocates with drafting written submissions. Training materials, an initial induction and supervision will be provided.

Requirements: We are looking for committed and reliable barristers with at least five years experience of criminal law.
