We are looking for a Business Development Manager to conquer the Berlin hospitality market. In this role, you aren’t just an employee; you are the owner of your specific territory. You will have full freedom to plan your day, build your own network, and manage your sales pipe.

We don't care about micromanagement; we care about results. You will be measured on your success, with a transparent promotion path based purely on revenue milestones.

Note that this role is based in Berlin, Germany.

Your Journey with Us
  • Month 1 (Onboarding): We invest in you. You will undergo a comprehensive 1‑month onboarding programme to master the product, the market, and our sales methodology.
  • Month 2 & Beyond: You get your territory in Berlin. It’s yours to map, hunt, and harvest.
What You Will Do
  • Active Field Presence: You will be present in the Berlin market daily. Your primary approach is face‑to‑face interaction—visiting restaurants, cafés, and bars to introduce them to Lightspeed personally.
  • Full‑Cycle Ownership: You control the process from the very first handshake to the signed contract. You are responsible for self‑sourcing, prospecting, demoing, and closing.
  • Consultative Selling: You aren’t just selling software; you are helping restaurateurs build better businesses. You will listen to their needs and build custom solutions.
  • Build Your Network: You will become a known face in your local hospitality scene, building long‑term relationships and a referral network.
Who You Are
  • A Hunter: You love the thrill of the chase. You are self‑motivated and don’t need someone watching over your shoulder to get work done.
  • German Native / Fluent: You have excellent communication skills in German (essential for building trust with local owners) and are comfortable in English.
  • Resilient & Charismatic: You have strong presentation skills and the confidence to walk into a busy restaurant and strike up a conversation.
  • Ambitious: You want to write your own paycheck through uncapped commissions.
  • Experience: 1+ years in sales, business development, or hospitality operations is a plus—but your attitude and drive matter most.
