Overview

Identify, develop and win new business opportunities within the sectors that fit with our core competencies and capabilities, delivering a New Business pipeline and growth for the business. Opportunities normally in the range of 1.5m€ to 10m€ sales.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Open new sectors for TVS SCS in the German market leverage the wider group capabilities from material procurement to contract logistics. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to identify sectors, build proposals and generate leads that ultimately convert to sales.
  • Engagement Plan: Create and maintain a network of prospects and contacts to enhance TVS's awareness and reputation and influence future opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments and market trends within desired sectors and proactively communicate with the TVS organization.
  • Learn how to build strong relationships with customers at all levels.
  • Learn how to develop a new commercial sales portfolio in line with revenue and profitability targets.
  • Work with the team to produce high-quality presentations to support new business opportunities
  • Identify opportunities, either through the advertised bidding process or through the management of previous relationships to create a healthy pipeline of new business.
  • Lead and manage the bid qualification and submission process, using the support of functional sales teams, to achieve successful win conversion rates. Ensure TVS earnings and cash expectations are achievable and follow the processes.
  • Create a marketing plan to promote the existing business offering in 3PL and sourcing and expand our offering to cover new end to end capabilities to new sectors. This can be through a variety of mixed marketing channels such as events, associations, sector membership and other engagements
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience
  • This is a unique opportunity to be part of the TVS SCS Baden-Baden team, a growing company that’s part of TVS SCS Group, that has a developing presence in Germany. You will develop and implement unique solutions in supply chain management in the German market.
  • The ideal candidate will be ambitious, there is massive scope to grow in this role and it is an opportunity for the right person to become part of the Operational Board in due course.
  • You will have demonstratable experience of identifying and winning new business from new customers, selling new solutions and opening new sectors. This role is all about seeking out and winning new business.
  • English speaking at a technical level to be able to articulate novel ideas in Supply Chain solutions.
  • Determined, empathetic and persuasive person with strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of commercial and analytical acumen.
  • Goal driven and focused.
  • Project management, negotiation and presentation skills to senior level essential.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach and the ability to organise to achieve results, quickly absorbing an interpreting new/complex information.
  • An in-depth knowledge of the market and supply chain requirements.
  • Continuous improvement ethos.
