Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany. This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany and EXTERNAL Local National Applicants, who reside in Germany.
Drives a 19 to 54 passenger bus or similar vehicle with either manual (standard or automatic transmission). Follows any specific instruction that is received from the Bus Supervisor and receives the vehicle report from the dispatcher with the scheduled route. Receives the Motor Equipment Utilization Record and verifies information such as authorization signature and correct vehicle registration number. Operates the bus over predetermined routes and arrives / departs from pick-up points and discharge points at scheduled times. Records the number of Passengers getting on and off buses per Department of Defense Instructions 4500.7. The incumbent is responsible for the safety of their passengers and preventing damages to U.S Government property. The incumbent will observe and adhere to 100% of all Federal and State Host Nation and U.S. Army and U.S Army in Europe, traffic rules and regulations. Conduct pre-operation, during and after action operational preventative maintenance check and services. If the vehicle is equipped with a two-way-radio, utilizes proper procedures by transmitting on traffic / hazardous conditions, accidents, instructions and changes in destination, time schedules or any emergency messages. Conduct Passenger Surveys as needed. Documents and reports all personnel or mission related issues which may impact the section's mission, health, well-being of employees or section Esprit De Corps to supervisor or Division Chief within 2 hours of discovery. Complies with 100% of all Army EEO, SHARP and ethical rules and regulations.
Follows any specific instruction that is received from a supervisor and receives the vehicle report form the dispatcher with the pick-up and destination at the beginning of each assignment. Receives the Motor Equipment Utilization Record and verifies information such as authorization signature and correct vehicle registration number. Proceeds to the pick-up point by the most direct route in an expeditious manner. Operates the motor vehicle safely in order to prevent damage to the vehicle and any injury to the passenger 100% of the time. After completion of assignment, returns by the most direct route in an expeditious manner. Operates one-half ton 12-20 passenger carry all and 19 - 54 passenger buses to transport authorized personnel on official routes.
Must have technical knowledge and operation of the passenger buses, sedans, and s in order to transport authorized personnel on official routes. Completes vehicle reports and motor Equipment Utilization Record to include hours, miles, fuel, oil, coolant, and battery 100% of the time. Performs other duties as assigned.
Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B and D.
English AND German Language Proficiency Level B2 required.
