Overview

We are currently looking for a Technical Support Specialist who will be remote-based in Italy or in Germany.

Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, you will be in an international environment, and you will provide second level support by resolving customer problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting on Automation Platforms. You will drive service targets while ensuring strong customer satisfaction and retention. You will apply critical thinking to resolve appropriate actions to rapidly repair instrumentation, train our customers and our Service Engineers, and support our Applications Team while verifying the operational performance and data quality of systems to support our overall commercial organization.

You will operate independently in the Italian/German territory and in Europe when needed (with overnight required as needed) to provide excellent customer service to clients while installing and maintaining Automation instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments. We operate as a team to share standard methodologies, mentor, and receive experienced technical support.

The essential responsibilities include:

  • Provide second level technical support for Automation Platforms to customers, resolving issues with troubleshooting and technical expertise.
  • Drive service targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Repair instrumentation rapidly and train customers and Service Engineers; support the Applications Team.
  • Verify operational performance and data quality of systems to support the commercial organization.
  • Work independently within Italy/Germany and across Europe as required, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Collaborate with a global team to share best practices and maintain standard methodologies.
Qualifications

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Biomedical engineer or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of Technical Support, Field Service experience with Diagnostics market.
  • Early career candidates welcome if they have troubleshooting experience from thesis or internships.
  • Proficient English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
  • Ability to travel within the country and to other European countries with overnight travel; a current valid driver’s license is required.

It would be a plus if you are:

  • Willing to work different shifts/flexible hours as business needs.
  • Analytical mindset, able to analyze data, identify problems and find effective solutions.
