Our team structure is built on flat hierarchies, with all members of the team involved in all aspects of investment banking, from origination to execution. Associates are expected to take a leading role in the deal team, with no restraint on access to clients. As a result, Associates in the team can expect to be ahead of their peers in involvement in deals and business development, thereby quickly enhancing their existing industry-specific expertise and skill sets.

Tasks :

  • Develop target lists and identify potential transaction opportunities - both buy-side and sell-side – as part of the ongoing origination process, led by senior bankers
  • Navigate M&A and private placement processes, with direct responsibility to act as a Project Manager for the execution, supported by a team of financial analysts and interns, and guided by senior bankers
  • Liaise with external counterparties throughout the transaction process (lawyers, sponsors, accountants, etc.)
  • Work with senior bankers within our group to produce regular sector reports by analysing key drivers across sub-verticals within the broader Technology and Healthcare ecosystem
  • Mentor and coach financial analysts and interns within the team
  • Maintain client relations during the deal execution period with an expectation to attend most meetings and to work directly with the client’s senior management
  • Regular contact with other deal teams across Bryan Garnier’s global offices to ensure a smooth exchange of information and execution process for all cross-border transactions.
Requirements :
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a strong academic track record

  • Prior experience within Technology or Healthcare would be advantageous
  • Demonstrable drive and determination, and a proven self-starter
  • Excellent financial modelling and business planning skills
  • Strong team player with the ability to deliver quality results within tight deadlines
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and good command of German
  • Solid professional writing skills, particularly in preparing relevant documents and announcements
