We are partnering with a private equity investment firm based in Munich. Founded by successful entrepreneurs, the firm has built a strong track record of investments across strategies and industries.
Our client invests with a long-term vision, focusing on small- and mid-cap companies within the DACH region and Western Europe, seeking to create sustainable value through an active investment and operational approach. To strengthen their growth/ buyout team, the firm is looking to hire a motivated Associate, who will be involved in all aspects of the deal cycle, from origination to execution as well as active portfolio engagement. What the job involves

• As a deal team member, you will be involved in all activities around valuation, financial analysis & modelling, preparation of investment proposals and marketing documentation
• Actively support and work with companies in the existing portfolio: development and implementation of value-generating strategies, working closely with founders and management through to exit
• Provide market knowledge and insights on sectors and input ideas for new potential transactions

Who we are looking for

• Strong academic track record with Master's degree from top university
• Prior M&A experience from a leading investment bank. Initial private equity experience is also welcome
• Excellent analytical capabilities, with proven experience in financial modelling
• Comfortable operating within the Mittelstand environment, with a solid understanding of its unique dynamics
• Fluency in German and English is required, with strong communication skills in both languages
