Summary

As an Application Engineer you are the primary technical resource for the field sales force, and are responsible for actively driving, specifying, and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. Working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate, the Application Engineer must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. The Application Engineer must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Works with customers to develop technical solutions for Cleco tightening applications
• Identify customer requirements and coordinate with R&D, Engineering and Sales
• Support customer field test for a successful trial of new products and technologies
• Assist in developing product costing and pricing
• Maintain professional business relationships within target accounts
• Identify customer's needs and sales opportunities to help future growth
• Travel to project sites to perform start-up, integration, and training services

Critical Skills & Qualifications

• Engineering Degree, State-certified Technician or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in similar position
• Application Programming Experience
• Customer Service or Sales Support experience
• Proven Project Management skills
• Willingness to travel
• Fluent in German and English
