Job Description:

We are looking for an Analytics Engineer (m/f/d) who will take full ownership of our supply data and turn it into reliable, ready-for-analysis datasets. You’ll partner with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Supply stakeholders to ensure everyone works from the same clean source of truth.

At Supply Data Solutions, we build end-to-end data-driven decision-making tools. These solutions support daily operations in the Supply Unit at ABOUT YOU, including Pricing & Steering, Demand Planning, and Inventory Management.

What you will do

• Identify overlapping data needs across forecasts, optimisation, and reporting, and create reusable mart tables.
• Simplify existing transformations to prevent downstream teams from rebuilding the same logic.
• Build and monitor pipelines (Python + GCP) and ensure their health.
• Document schemas, lineage, and data contracts.
• Manage the platform’s security: IAM roles, data-access boundaries, cost monitoring, performance tuning, and data validity checks.
• Mentor junior analysts and improve SQL skills across the Supply team.

Who you are

Technical Skills:

• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong SQL skills (window functions, CTEs, performance tuning)
• Proficiency in Python for ETL and orchestration
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Git, GCP / BigQuery
• Proven ability to transform messy operational data into governed analytics layers
• Comfortable collaborating with data scientists and analysts

Nice to have:

• Experience with Dagster or dbt
• Knowledge of AWS services (Batch, Lambda, Step Functions)
• Supply-chain or logistics domain knowledge
• Experience with data catalog or observability tools

Soft Skills:

• A proactive mindset to build, monitor, govern, and own data platform health and reliability
• Ability to analyze complex systems and create improvement plans
• Confidence in establishing data contracts and communicating requirements
• Balance long-term system design with immediate business needs
