Agricultural Technology Maintenance and integration Specialist (m/f/d)

As a Agricultural Technology Maintenance and Integration Specialist (m/f/d), your main tasks will be ensuring the functionality and operation of near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) systems for all crops and associated harvesting machines. Leading both regular and planned maintenance as well as troubleshooting in an emergency are part of your area of responsibility. Furthermore, you can contribute your ideas to the interdisciplinary new development of KWS tailor-made agricultural technology.
This position is offered within KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA on full time and permanent position and is based at our headquarters in Einbeck and expected to be filled as soon as possible.


Your new challenge

  • Ensuring analytical process of optical spectrometer systems on harvesters
  • Technical support of KWS breeding stations as well as external customers in application of spectrometer processes
  • Supporting strategic development of NIRS systems according to the specifications of analytical scientists
  • Supporting coordination of yearly maintenance of electronical and spectrometer systems of harvesters according to requirements of internal stakeholders
  • Supporting continuous improvement of processes related to hardware and software according to the internal requirements of quality issues
  • System diagnosis and evaluation of faults with supervisory control systems
  • PLC programming for small-scale systems
  • Participation in the planning and development of new concepts in the area of field trials
  • Setting up and maintaining relevant documentation of the systems


Contribute your competences

  • Diploma or degree in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems is required, experience with agricultural machinery would be appreciated but not a must.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel frequently mostly during harvest season ((up to 15%) and work flexible hours
  • Fluency in German and English are mandatory
