Position Overview
This role will manage strategies for product development designed to maximize profitable growth and membership targets through customer insights, user story definition and competitive assessment.
Success will be achieved through strong, proactive partnerships with areas such as Finance, Marketing, Network, Business Operations, Pharmacy, Segment/Sales Leaders, Client Technology Solutions, Compliance, and vendor partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops solid partnership with and navigates matrix partners/organizations to identify new user stories that will result in a positive customer experience.
- Manages team intake and leads the team backlog refinement process for Core Billing/Financial Job Streams and other relevant software products to ensure user stories are appropriately sized and prioritized.
- Ensures that user stories are clear, concise, measurable, and marketable with well-defined acceptance criteria.
- Participates in the innovation process representing customer insights/needs, brainstorming/out of the box thinking to identify solutions, developing concepts and launching/monitoring pilots and results.
- Provides product direction throughout the Program Increment (PI) and serves as the voice of the customer for the team and represents the team to external stakeholders, teams and suppliers.
- Ensures stakeholders are knowledgeable of new and/or changes in priorities on a timely basis.
- Drives resolution of issues related to user story delivery, escalating when appropriate.
- Supports Scrum Master in scope management, risk management, financial management, communication management, and Iteration Planning materials.
- Fully understands and provides key inputs to the feature roadmap in support of the product vision during PI Planning
Skills and Experience Required
Required
- Billing/payments experience preferably in the healthcare domain
- Excellent problem solving, influencing, presentation and analytical skills.
- Excellent project management skills with a solid understanding of business processes and operations
- Proven ability to tie together complex issues and implement solutions.
- Excels in building and maintaining solid relationships with matrixed business partners.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Solid collaboration, verbal, and written communication skills

- Experience and working knowledge of Core Billing and Banking processes and applications.
- Strategic and creative thinker with ability to think outside the box and translate strategies and customer insights into actions/user stories/implementation.
- Experience working in diverse disciplines within the healthcare industry.
- Experience in an agile environment, especially where Scrum is utilized.
