0590 RESEARCH ASSISTANT (F/M/D) Functional Redox Proteomics

The Plasma Redox Effects research group at the Leibniz-Institute for Plasma Science and Technology (INP) in Greifswald is seeking a Research Assistant (F/M/D) for the first quarter of 2026, subject to funding approval. The position is initially limited to 36 months.

Key details:

  • Weekly working hours: 40 hours, suitable for part-time work (27 hours/week) with potential to pursue a doctorate
  • Remuneration: according to TV-L wage group 13, gross salary depending on experience

Your key responsibilities:

  • Identifying oxidative changes in proteins and their biological/immunological implications
  • Cell culture of immune cells and molecular biological measurements (including flow cytometry)
  • Measurement of oxidized proteins via mass spectrometry and analysis of post-translational modifications
  • Investigating oxidants and cold plasmas' effects on proteins and immunogenicity
  • Data analysis, interpretation, presentation, and scientific publication writing

Your profile:

  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, or related field; doctorate optional
  • Experience with bioanalytical methods (mass spectrometry, flow cytometry)
  • Strong quantitative and logical skills
  • Interest in interdisciplinary protein research
  • Flexibility, problem-solving skills, commitment, independence, teamwork, responsibility, and reliability
  • Fluent in German and English, computer literate
