The Station Manager is responsible for ensuring day-to-day operations are conducted in a safe and financially sound manner through the following duties:

1. Supervising assigned station personnel.
2. Maintaining Ryan Air customer service standards.
3. Operating the station within annual budget projections.
4. Conducting local sales calls with established business entities.
5. Hiring, training, scheduling, disciplining, and conducting annual evaluations for all assigned station personnel.
6. Enacting policies and procedures.
7. Ensuring all contract ground services are provided within the terms of the contracts.
8. Managing relationships, customer service standards, and cargo management requirements in accordance with mainline cargo airline contracts.
9. Ensuring all station personnel training is current, including ground service contract training.
10. Conducting monthly safety meetings.
11. Ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
12. Maintaining plant and ground service equipment according to company standards.
13. Meeting USPS procedures outlined in the USPS 508 manual.
14. Overseeing shipping and receiving of all Company Material (COMAT).
15. Submitting all station-related reports and records within established timelines.
16. Hiring and training village agents.
17. Maintaining ramp, mail, and freight storage areas.
18. Participating as part of the Ryan Air management team.
19. Performing other duties as assigned.

For Nome, Emmonak, and Aniak Stations:

1. Completing monthly reporting for mainline contract turns.
2. Serving as the primary training and safety coordinator for mainline contract airlines.
3. Enforcing cargo handling security in line with mainline airline security policies.

1. Ability to analyze and solve complex problems, with excellent leadership skills.
2. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
3. Proficiency in computer skills.
4. Willingness to travel to villages, Anchorage, and other locations.
5. High school diploma or equivalent.
6. This is a very active position requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing for up to 8-10 hours daily.
7. Frequent lifting or moving items over 70 pounds.
8. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
9. For Anchorage, Nome, Kotzebue, and Bethel Stations: Ability to pass a ten-year security background check for airport badging.
