Graham is recruiting MEIT Managers with Hospital, Healthcare or Age Home Care Facilities experience for various project sites within the Greater Toronto area. This is an expression of interest for future opportunities within the Buildings Division.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Mechanical and Electrical Director, the MEIT Manager will have a significant impact on planning, preparation, and negotiation of all Mechanical, Electrical, and IMIT areas throughout various project lifecycles within Graham’s Buildings Division. This includes managing the M&E systems from concept through to completion, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, timelines, and budgets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in M&E management, with a preference for those with a background in healthcare construction projects.

As a MEIT Manager at Graham, you will:

1. Assist with bid preparation, bid closing and attend interviews
2. Work closely with the Project's management team to ensure feasibility and costing of the project's mechanical and electrical scope according to budget and output specifications
3. Assist in preparation and negotiation of mechanical and electrical design services agreements
4. Lead value engineering & opportunity processes pertaining to mechanical and electrical building systems
5. Manage the design, procurement, implementation and commissioning processes of mechanical and electrical building systems including, HVAC, power distribution, lighting, fire protection, low-voltage systems, and plumbing
6. Participate in multiple projects across the entire project lifecycle including financial planning, budgets, change orders, product specifications, project planning, procurement decisions, implementation, integration, quality assurance, training, and deployment
7. Work with multiple stakeholders to ensure project implementation is compliant to the output specifications and executed in a timely and efficient manner
8. Manage relationships with all project partners, stakeholders and the client to bring forward innovative solutions that achieve compliance within the project budget
9. Responsible for communicating the technical aspects and regular site activities of the project with relevant stakeholders to effectively update and act on pertinent information
10. Lead M&E team members, including engineers and contractors, to ensure high-quality installation and commissioning

Qualifications/Experience:

1. Experience within the design and construction of Hospitals and Long-Term Care Facilities is preferred
2. 15+ years of relevant work experience
3. Related Engineering Degree or Diploma, or equivalent combination of experience and education
4. Design-Build experience on complex healthcare projects is a strong asset
5. Detailed knowledge of building systems design, procurement, construction and testing/commissioning in Hospital, Healthcare and Age Home Care facilities and Commercial environments
