What will your typical day look like?

As the Specialist Manager you will provide release train engineer support services including, but not limited to, coordinating the teams from a product standpoint to help ensure that multiple teams working on the same release product and features plan and execute as a single release train, identifying and managing risks, facilitating release planning meetings, supporting the scrum of scrums, and resolving and escalating impediments.

Primary Duties:

  • Facilitate ART level ceremonies such as PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, Sprint Demos, Inspect and Adapt
  • Coach team members and other stakeholders in SAFe and Agile practices, as needed
  • Work with management to ensure smooth rollout of SAFe to the organization, including providing input and direction to help establish department standards and procedures
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop a comprehensive project plan to monitor and track progress while also keeping clients and staff aware of key milestones

  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Manage changes to the testing scope, test schedule, and escalating any roadblocks or concerns during the process
  • Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques
  • Report and esca­late to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize potential risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
  • Assist Engagement Manager with status reporting as required by the S4 Technology Team leadership.
  • Support full lifecycle implementations, including analysis, design, testing and configuration of Sales and Distribution scenarios Working knowledge on Integration between SD and other core modules like FI/CO/MM.
  • Prepare and review functional specifications for enhancements and coordinating development of objects Experience in writing functional specifications for new developments / change requests.
  • Convert business requirements into functional specifications to develop ABAP programs Experience in Testing - Test Plan, Test Case Specifications, Test Scenarios etc for functionality testing
  • Interpret and translate functional specifications into ABAP (technical specifications), including creating high-level designs for the requested developments
  • Able to work as Individual contributor with excellent communication skills(verbal and written)
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and executing complex build activities
  • Provide configuration, testing, cut-over, conversion and post go‑live support for enhancement projects
  • Deliver projects following SAFE methodology

Required:

  • At least 5 years of experience working in supporting multiple software projects in various IT roles.
  • At least 3 years of Business Analyst, or Program Management.
  • At least 5 years of hands on experience with SAP SD including strong Basics – Configurations, Transactions, tables, Reports.
  • Experience tracking test status across development teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience using test management tools such as ALM, SerivceNow or ADO.
  • Must have in‑depth knowledge of software development lifecycles including Agile development and testing.
  • Demonstrated ability in applying repeatable processes and methods to enterprise wide technology projects or initiatives.
  • Experience in dealing with multiple projects and cross‑functional teams, and ability to coordinate across teams in a large matrix organization environment.
  • Developing comprehensive test plans and executing complex build activities.
  • Providing configuration, testing, cut‑over, conversion and post go‑live support for enhancement projects.
  • Experience delivering projects following SAFE methodology.
  • Experience with data analytics, metrics creation, resource and budget modeling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, organization, analytical, planning and leadership skills.
  • Experience in conducting Demos to the business on enhancements / projects.
  • Strong management, communication, technical and remote collaboration skill with Global teams are a must.
  • Experience effectively conducingt detailed discussions directly with Project/Product management.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications.

Preferred:

  • SAFe 5 RTE Certification.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, MS Project, S4 HANA, Azure Dev Ops and Microsoft suite.
  • Experience working with Agile development processes.
  • Experience in packaged SDLC.
  • Basic Debugging skills, S/4 Hana, Fiori applications, LSMW/Data migration.
  • Knowledge on SAP PS Module - customization in areas like Project Profile, WBS Elements, Partner Function.
Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $156,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
