Our client, a large oil & gas company, has an opening for a Maintenance Technician in the Estevan, SK area. Accommodations and/or subsistence could be provided for the right candidate, with shift schedules to be determined based on a 10-hour workday.

1. Troubleshoot and repair all rotating equipment.
2. Work proactively with plant troubleshooting, and collaborate with staff and contractors to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
3. Supervise third-party contractors and organize work to optimize production and minimize costs.
4. Maintain inventory and critical spares for rotating equipment.
5. Manage preventative maintenance programs and work orders for gas plants and gathering systems.
6. Coordinate work with operations and management, including safety reporting and training updates.
7. Assist in safety and risk assessments, and ensure safety equipment is operational.
8. Provide guidance and training to apprentices as needed.
9. Support continuous improvement initiatives for equipment performance and safety.

1. Grade 12 or equivalent.
2. Interprovincial Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician certification.
3. Minimum of five years' experience in a mechanical role within the industry.
4. Valid driver’s license and relevant safety certifications.
5. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and maintenance.
