The Senior Cash Management Officer performs many functions of the Cash Management Officer position with additional extensive knowledge and experience, overseeing more complicated disbursements. The role will help coordinate and develop the team of Cash Management Officers.

This role is a Hybrid role, 3 days in the Toronto office

Key Accountabilities:

1. Prepare internal/external reports for distributions on funds held on behalf of clients
2. Prepare daily cash report reflecting cash inflow and outflows
3. Prepare reconciliations of segregated accounts as required
4. Preparation of Monthly Segregated Funds Report
5. Populate segregated funds transactions in Workday daily
6. Perform daily importation of bank statements into Workday
7. Prepare interest calculations on client segregated funds, as per documented agreements and obtain approval for disbursement of these funds
8. Prepare disbursement calculations as per documented agreements and manage the record-keeping and reconciliation of dividend and interest payments, as well as Corporate Trust and Corporate Actions payments
9. Process scheduled and unscheduled disbursements and maintain related documentation
10. Prepare outgoing wire transfers and monitor incoming wire transfer activity
11. Monitor Positive Pay exceptions from external banks and take corrective actions
12. Work with team members to implement changes to banking, distribution, and reporting processes
13. Manage documentation to ensure proper audit trail from account opening through closing of client accounts
14. Assist with the preparation of year-end tax slips and reports

Must haves:

• 1-3+ years experience in a banking, trust, or complex cash management environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong proficiency with Excel
• Experience with payments, deposits, and reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail due to high transaction volume
