About This Opportunity

We are seeking a creative UI Engineer with a strong UX mindset who is passionate about designing exceptional user experiences for our generative and predictive AI solutions. This role combines technical expertise and design thinking, transforming complex AI capabilities into intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing interfaces. This is a remote position based in Canada, with a preference for candidates in Ottawa, Canada.

What You Will Do

1. Design and develop responsive, elegant, and intuitive user interfaces for our AI platforms
2. Collaborate with data scientists, AI researchers, and product managers to understand complex AI functionality and translate it into accessible user experiences
3. Create interactive prototypes to visualize and test new UI concepts before implementation
4. Build reusable UI components and libraries that ensure consistency across our product ecosystem
5. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
6. Work with real-time data visualization and dynamic content rendering
7. Participate in user testing and incorporate feedback into design iterations
8. Stay ahead of UI/UX trends and emerging technologies in the AI space

What We Are Looking For

1. 2+ years of professional experience in UI development using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, etc.)
2. Strong foundation in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
3. Experience with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
4. Proficiency with UI/UX design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, etc.)
5. Portfolio demonstrating creative UI solutions and strong visual design sensibilities
6. Experience working with REST APIs and handling dynamic data in front-end applications
