This is your chance to join an established group practice in Trail, BC. This opportunity has it all - and then some - for you to design the practice you want, steps from world‑class outdoor recreation, yet with big city amenities.
Columbia Primary Care is a collegial group of six Primary Care Providers sharing a spacious clinic in downtown Trail. The practice offers a mix of patients, and the clinic providers support each other in taking up to 8 weeks off per year for holidays and CPD.
Our office offers a friendly and efficient environment with support from our experienced MOAs and Registered Nurse, and in‑clinic access to Primary Care Network resources including:
- Social Worker
- Primary Care RN
There is additional access to regional PCN resources including:
- Physiotherapist
- Occupational Therapist
- Clinical Pharmacist
- Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Dietitian
- Aboriginal Health Coordinator
We currently use Med Access as our EMR and provide a mix of in‑person and virtual care.
The clinic layout boasts a welcoming waiting room and a minor operating room (OR), and each Primary Care Provider has an office/exam room with a view of the Columbia River and a well‑equipped second exam room. The clinic has GP sub‑specialty practices including:
- Dermatology
- Diabetes
- Pain Management
It is also a teaching practice for third‑year medical students and family practice residents. Further specialty support, available at the nearby Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, includes:
- Anesthesia
- General Surgery
- Orthopaedics
- Internal Medicine
- ICU
- Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Plastics
- Urology
- Pathology
- Ophthalmology
Lucrative New‑to‑Practice Salaried contracts are available (up to full‑time) to physicians who don't have an established patient panel in BC. Care for up to 800 patients under a 2‑year salaried contract with generous recruitment incentives for new grads (Additional $25,000 sign‑in bonus and up to $130,000 in debt repayment - including private loans and line or credits).
