Senior Mainframe Backend Developer (PL/I/IMS DB z/OS)
Job summary
A leading technology company is seeking a Senior Software Developer - Back End in Toronto. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in programming and analysis, including proficiency in PL/I and DB2 for z/OS. Responsibilities include designing and developing applications that interact with IMS TM applications. This is a hybrid role requiring office presence three days a week. Strong XML processing skills and experience with file management tools are essential.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in programming and analysis.
- Experience in using PL/I V4.5 or higher within the last 5 years.
- 10+ years of experience in designing and developing windows client application interacting with IMS TM applications.
- 5+ years of experience writing mainframe PL/I transactions that process XML input and produce XML output.
- Experience with IMS DB V12 or higher using the PLITDLI API.
- Experience with DB2 for z/OS V11 or higher.
- Experience with z/OS V2.2 or higher.
- Expertise using file and database management tools.
