We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to take on the critical role of leading the design and maintenance of the operating environment that serves as the backbone of our z-platform computing capabilities. This position is integral to ensuring that our technology infrastructure remains robust, stable, and powerful enough to meet the evolving needs of our Firm. This is a remote role based in Canada.

Responsibilities

Information Security Responsibilities

  • Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
  • Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
  • Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information
Requirements
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • Expertise in z/OS internals
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
  • Strong knowledge in Catalog management
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, such as during a production system outage
  • Strong skills in USS/OMVS
  • Experience with z/OS and ISV software installations
  • Proficiency in testing, including designing tests to validate software functionality, robustness, and performance
  • Knowledge of HCD/Hardware
  • Experience with REXX
  • Ability to provide weekend support and participate in on-call rotations
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with zOSMF, REST APIs, Kafka, LinuxOne, Ansible, Python, and other new zOS technologies is a plus
  • Assembler skills for usermods maintenance and dump reading are desirable but not mandatory
