The Opportunity

Tayco is an Office Furniture Manufacturer looking for a Wood Product Assembler to join our Cabinetry Team! The Job

Production Assemblers in our Cabinetry Team are responsible for assembling desks, credenzas, laterals, file cabinets, hutches, bookcases, storage units, and affixing hardware in accordance with our standard operating procedures using pneumatic guns and other tools. They ensure quality standards of products and consistently adhere to Health & Safety and Tayco policies.

Tayco is seeking a passionate candidate possessing the following experience and competencies:

  • Able to operate hand/power tools (drills, pneumatic guns, wrapping machines, etc.) and pump trucks
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to take initiative and demonstrate proactive problem solving in daily work
  • Able to multi-task and adapt to changing conditions
  • Works well with others and builds effective working relationships within the department and Tayco
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and to carry, move, manipulate and/or position them, as well as move, bend, twist or occasional awkward body positions while performing work
  • Has good hand-eye coordination and muscular control sufficient to operate tools or equipment and see closely/listen intently in order to detect flaws or errors and achieve detailed results
  • Able to understand and follow established personal safety, security, and environmental practices. Is knowledgeable of and compliant with Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). Must be trained in Health & Safety
  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment is recommended

Pay Rate: $21.80 per hour

Hours of Work: 3:00 PM. to 11:30 p.m.
