WIRE ARC ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING OPERATOR
Responsible for set up, component production printing and in-process inspection of a variety of items requiring a high degree of skill and proficiency. WAAM operator shall have the ability to weld components with automated machine(robot). It is expected to have a good background knowledge in welding to meet the high part quality requirement. Perform a variety of duties with no direct supervision.

Main Activities: Additive Manufacturing
- Set-up the WAAM machine & equipment for new part production and carry out first piece qualification before production.
- Operate the equipment for a given “print job” - i.e. part production with limited assistance on setup and first article inspection.
- Perform daily maintenance checks of the WAAM machine and auxiliary equipment.
- Monitor / control and verify the different machine welding parameters before printing and during the process.
- Able to adjust welding processes and maintain process control as well as program editing on shop floor (panasonic source/dtps).
- Capable of gauging and visual inspection on the parts.
- Support the producing cell with other processes such as warehouse, machining, and NDT.
- Assist the WAAM manager in managing and optimizing the WAAM process and production line.
- Troubleshoot the equipment and machine in the event of any problem involved in incident (quality & safety) investigation.
Main Activities: CNC Machining
- Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machines at a very high level of proficiency.
- Set up and thread all threads and grades of material that the facility is licensed for on a cnc lathe, with no assistance on setup and first article inspection.
- Obtain required overlays and review first article with no assistance.
- Set up and operate all CNC machines at that facility location.
- Select proper tools and gages for threading or process to be performed.
- Able to adjust machine processes and tooling to optimize cycle time and maintain process control as well as CNC editing on the shop floor.
- Perform necessary mathematical calculations to produce angles.
- Understand product drawings and can produce parts from drawings.
- Help train machinists at CNC 1 and CNC 2 levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimize designs for both CNC and additive manufacturing.
- Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance.
- Ensure parts meet quality standards and specifications.

Qualification
- O level, ITC or higher NITEC or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in machining or welding, preferably in oil & gas, precision sector.
- CWI level or equivalent as per AWS standard preferred.
- Experience with welding low alloy high yield carbon steels and nickel-based alloys.
