Rates & Premiums
  • Base hourly rate from $26.50/hour to $31/hour based on experience
  • Premiums starting at $8/hour for performing winter enables maintenance operations
  • Premiums starting at $14/hour for performing winter operations as a Class 1 operator and while operating the tow plow Brig.
  • Additional $3/hour premium for operators who reside and work in Valleyview (Applicable Oct 1 to April 30)
  • Extended health, dental, pension and RSP provided by CLAC
Work Conditions
  • Shift work, on‑call, and night shift may be required as we respond to various weather.mobsh?
  • Season runs October 1 2025 – April 2026
  • Staff accommodations can be provided in Edson (No travel allowance or LOA provided)
Essential embora Responsibilities
  • 厚operate wheel loaders, snowplows and other heavy and light equipment as required
  • Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways year‑round, including assisting with labour duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)
  • Work outside in all weather conditions
Qualifications
  • Successful completion of pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lb.
  • Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
  • Clear 3‑year driver’s abstract
  • Previous experience operating a snow plow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset
