Overview

Emil Anderson Maintenance (EAM) is the Ministry of Transportation and Transit’s road and bridge maintenance contractor for Service Area 7 (Fraser Valley), Service Area 20 (Robson) and Service Area 26 (Skeena).

Emil Anderson Maintenance | Robson is seeking applications for winter highway maintenance workers / labourers. Area 20 includes Blue River, Valemount, Tête Jaune Cache, and McBride. This is a seasonal, full-time position consisting of manual labour and operating plow trucks. Multiple positions available.

Responsibilities
  • Operate in accordance to and uphold Emil Anderson Group (EAG) Core Values in all aspects of your work.
  • Uphold an unwavering commitment to developing a zero-injury culture.
  • Removal of snow and ice by safely using snow removal and/or sanding equipment.
  • Completion of pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Changing snowplow blades.
  • Patching potholes and jackhammering.
  • Doing maintenance and minor service works on vehicles.
  • Digging out plugged drains, maintaining shrubbery, and picking up litter.
  • Any other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Working safely is a condition of employment.
  • Minimum class 3 with air brake endorsement.
  • Previous snow plowing and heavy equipment experience is an asset.
  • Willing to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 is an asset.
  • OT work required in the event of a snowstorm.
  • Clean drivers abstract and valid Canadian driver's license required.
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Acknowledge this position can be labour intensive.
  • Willing to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Provide current ICBC “N” drivers abstract along with resume.
